Holly Sutherland

Holly Sutherland is a native Idahoan and was born and raised in Twin Falls. Her family owned a restaurant, Maxies’ Pizza & Pasta, where she worked throughout her younger years. Holly attended college at Utah State University where she received her undergraduate degree in Political Science.

Holly’s career goals were always running her own restaurant or becoming an attorney. After graduating from Utah State Univeristy, Holly moved to Boise and began pursuing her Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Northwest Nazarene University. Prior to completing the program, Holly was given the opportunity to move back to Twin Falls and open her own restaurant with her family. She jumped on the chance to fulfill her dream and proceeded to run her family’s restaurant for the next ten years.

Although Holly loved the restaurant business, she still had the desire to practice law. Holly uprooted her life and moved to Moscow to attend the University of Idaho where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2014. After passing the bar, Holly briefly practiced employment law before securing a job at the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee’s office. While bankruptcy law was not on her radar as a desired practice area, she has found her passion as a bankruptcy attorney.

Holly specializes in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. She has filed hundreds of cases and has been the top filer of Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases in the State of Idaho. Her prior experience includes working as the staff attorney for the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee and as the senior staff attorney for the highest volume bankruptcy firm in Idaho. Holly is highly regarded throughout the bankruptcy community for providing competent, caring, and thorough representation for her clients.

Holly is licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho, the United States District Court for the District of Idaho, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts. She serves on the Board of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Idaho State Bar and is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
